Threats To Narwhals

Narwhals are being hunted for their tusks, blubber, and even for their skin. A narwhal's skin is used for food, it is eaten raw or boiled. Its blubber is considered a delicacy, and its tusks are used for tools and art. These animals are in a lot of danger because of people trying to kill them for only parts of their bodies.

Declaration of Independence Assignment- Liberty

Liberty

The definition of liberty is, "The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views." This is showing that there are certain laws in place to keep our lives safe and not endanger the lives of others. For example, the country puts regulations on driving while texting or using your phone in general. You can use Bluetooth while driving because both of your hands can be on the wheel at all times.

Declaration of Independence Assignment- Pursuit of Happiness

Pursuit of Happiness

Going camping and swimming in the Ojai area makes me happy. The sate of California makes laws to protect these places to allow people to go hiking and enjoy nature without hurting it.  The website listed below, shows the different laws that protect the different varieties of nature in California. The government also makes laws that allow people to enjoy nature as it is without vandalism or buildings of some sort. Therefore, laws protect our happiness through many different ways, but we all should appreciate them even if we don't entirely agree with what they are suggesting.
